About Us

Berkshire Hills subdivision was created by a declaration and registered with Waukesha County on May 14, 1985. The Haven development was added in 2007.

The neighborhood is part of the Elmbrook School District, and students can attend the Burleigh Elementary, Pilgrim Park Middle School, and Brookfield East High School tract.

The neighborhood is incorporated as a non-stock nonprofit corporation. Tax-exempt 501C(4).

The homeowner's association (HOA) is entirely volunteer run. There are volunteer roles for supervising facilities maintenance, events, and administration. An elected volunteer Board of Directors serves on rotating three year appointments.

  • Mandatory payment of annual dues - sharing costs of landscaping, facilities maintenance, social activities, welcome baskets, and printed directories.
  • Major visual improvements subject to architectural committee approval – e.g. roofing, paint, major landscaping.
  • Standards for property appearance – e.g. prohibition on outbuildings, fencing, trailers, equipment, etc. stored on property. Property maintenance.
